Mahdia (three day weekend)

Mahdia

Port
Yes five people, one scooter. (The fifth person you can't see because she is between mom and dad if you look real close you can see a little foot). And we think it is dangerous to have little kids in the front seat of a car buckled in.

Fishing by the ruins!

A fortress built in the 16th century in downtown Mahdia

Spring has arrived!

Hotel Iberostar, view from our room

Walk on the beach, April 8th and about 75 degrees!

Looks kind of like a plant but maybe it is an animal, any ideas? Green sphere but deflates when it has been on shore for a period of time, ranges in size. Maybe related to the urchin, sea anemone, or seaweed.

Kairouan

The Governor's house in Kairouan, which is now where they sell carpets. One of the carpet showing rooms.

The "big boss" who got called in to give us the best price for our carpet! Our new carpet...ticket price 280 dinars...selling price 80 dinars. This type of carpet is called a Kilm, which is a woven rug usually done with bright colors.
